Cincinnati Bell Wireless Introduces Parental Controls
New service allows parents to manage children's mobile phone activity

CINCINNATI - November 27, 2007 - A new online service from Cincinnati Bell Inc. (NYSE: CBB) can help parents have the final word when it comes to their child's mobile phone usage. Cincinnati Bell Parental Controls is a feature-rich service that allows a parent to set limits on children's voice usage and text messaging.

"Parents often worry about letting their children have a cell phone. With the Parental Controls service, parents can gain some peace of mind about their children's wireless activity," said Eric Schimpf, general manager, Cincinnati Bell Wireless. "Parental Controls offers a better way to allow your children some independence while helping to keep them-and your wallet-safe and secure."

With Cincinnati Bell Parental Controls service, customers can set boundaries on both voice and text usage for designated phones on their account including:
  • Setting the number of voice minutes allowed within the week or month.
  • Specifying the number of text messages that can be sent within a week or month.
  • Receiving notification e-mails or text messages when limits are reached or calls are blocked.
  • Assigning time periods (e.g., homework hours) when calls or text messages cannot be sent or received.
  • Designating phone numbers that are the only numbers a child is allowed to contact; or phone numbers that can always be contacted, even when other restrictions are applied; or phone numbers that can never be contacted.
