Installation

All Dedicated Internet solutions include the following installation options:

Option 1 - Cincinnati Bell-provided Equipment and Installation Option 2 - Customer-provided equipment and installation
  • Router use
  • Appropriate patch cabling
  • Configuration and installation of the router at the customer's premise
  • Guarantee of connectivity across the link to the Internet
  • Router replacement if necessary in accordance to the Service Level Agreement
  • Cincinnati Bell reserves the right to select its brand of router

Technical Details

Dedicated Frame Relay service is available to customers who own and operate their business site's router and CSU/DSU (channel service unit/digital service unit), and includes circuit installation and activation. For those companies who do not own a CSU/DSU, leasing is also an option.

Cincinnati Bell Frame Relay Internet Service with optional CSU/DSU includes circuit installation, CSU/DSU installation and configuration, and Internet service activation. Frame Relay Internet Service can be ordered for any of the following speeds:

  • 254 Kbps
  • 384 Kbps
  • 786 Kbps
  • 1.544 Mbps

Requirements

You may not need any additional equipment if you are already a Frame Relay subscriber. If, however, you are interested in dedicating a port to Internet access, other equipment may be needed. Cincinnati Bell can provide your business with a CSU/DSU for a modest additional charge.
