How Do I Keep My Number?

Tips for keeping your current number:

  • Do not disconnect your phone number from your previous carrier initially if you would like to "port" or bring it to Cincinnati Bell Wireless. This will happen automatically during the porting process.
  • Keep a copy of your bill from your previous carrier to assist in the porting process.
  • Visit one of our stores or call 1-800-500-1CBW to speak to a sales representative who can get the process started. Have your bill from your previous carrier with you. We'll need your account number and your previous phone number.
  • A representative will process your port request.

Q: How long do I have to send in the last bill from my previous wireless carrier?

A: It must be sent by 9/30/2011 with a completed rebate form to receive your credit.


Q: If I disconnect Cincinnati Bell Wireless service within the first 30 days, will I lose the rebate?

A: Yes, Your service must remain active with Cincinnati Bell for over 90 days before you will receive your rebate.


Q: Why do you need my bill from my previous carrier?

A: To verify your account information and the amount of the Early Termination Fee eligible for rebate.


Q: How will I receive the rebate?

A: You will receive your rebate via a Visa® Prepaid Card.


Q: How much credit will I receive?

A: It depends on the carrier and the amount of their Early Termination Fee. The maximum amount you will receive is $100.00 per subscription, $500 per account.


Q: Do you disconnect my service for me?

A: If you keep your same number, yes we handle the disconnect for you. If you do not keep your number, you are responsible for disconnecting service with your previous carrier.


Q: How do I pay my last bill from my previous carrier?

A: Pay your last bill with your previous carrier as you normally would.


Q: When can I expect the rebate?

A: You will receive your Visa® Prepaid Card by mail within 18 weeks of your postmark date
