Cincinnati Bell is implementing a new Email Password Policy to increase the security of our customers' email accounts and help protect your personal information. Please take a moment to review the information below and follow the instructions to change your password.

  • How do I change my password for my email account?
    • Option 1:
      • Go to https://email.cincinnatibell.com/, to enter the Self-Care Portal. You will need to log in using your email account credentials and then it will take you through the steps to changing your email account password and updating your profile.
    • Option 2:
      • Go to Cincinnatibell.net.
      • Scroll to the bottom of the page locate "Account Services" section of the menu, and select "Maintain Account".
      • From here, you will be asked to log in using your email account credentials, which will take you through the steps to changing your email account password and updating your profile.
  • Will I need to update my password in more than 1 spot?
  • What is the new password policy?
    • A minimum of 8 characters
    • Cannot use the same password as the previous
    • Case sensitive, with at least one capital and one lowercase
    • Must contain at least 1 number OR special character (!@#$%)
  • Will all users on my account need to update their password?
    • Yes, all Cincinnati Bell email addresses will need a password change.
  • When should I do this?
    • Immediately.
  • What happens if I do not do this?
    • You will eventually be forced to update your password upon log in.
  • Will this impact my email address/user id?
    • Not at all, only the password associated with it.
  • Do I have to keep this email address if I do not use it?
    • No you can cancel this email address at any time by calling 513-397-4357 (HELP) for account cancellation. Keep in mind, once an email account is cancelled, all content stored within it will also be deleted.
  • If I need help in choosing a password, what should I do?

  • Why is Cincinnati Bell making me do this?

    • Only one time, as long as your account remains protected.
