Cincinnati Bell employees donated more than 850 toys and non-perishable food items for the 2017 Holiday Food and Toy Drive that supports families being serviced by the following organizations: Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center TIP unit, the Dragonfly Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House, and local food pantries.
Cincinnati Bell employees helped package and deliver the items to their respective destinations. The company recently received the following message from Kathy O'Malley of the Bond Hill Food Pantry.
To my friends at Cincinnati Bell:
There are simply no words to properly express my thanks on behalf of all our guests at the pantry in Bond Hill. Your help arrived at the exact moment it was needed. If you don't believe in miracles – you should now, because you all are a part of one. Thank you!
About the organizations
- Cincinnati Children's Hospital's Therapeutic Interagency Preschool (TIP): This unit provides developmental, behavioral, and safety services for preschool age children (ages 3 to 5) who have suffered abuse and emotional trauma. The center currently serves approximately 62 children.
- The Dragonfly Foundation We are sponsoring five families at The Dragonfly Foundation, which helps children and families manage the emotional, physical, and financial stress associated with the diagnosis of cancer.
- Ronald McDonald House Donations will go to Ronald's Workshop, where parents select gifts for their children that our volunteers have wrapped with care. Santa stops by on Christmas Eve and personally delivers the presents to each child.
- Food Pantries across the Greater Cincinnati region are helping alleviate hunger issues in local communities around the area, and are providing the homeless with personal care kits.
