October 4, 2013

An agreement between the two entities was signed Friday, October 4

CINCINNATI, Ohio - CBTS, a leading technology solutions provider, signed a multi-faceted collaboration agreement with the University of Cincinnati's College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services (CECH), enabling the two entities to provide a world-class educational experience for students pursuing a degree in Information Technology.

In a ceremonial signing at CBTS's offices in Norwood on Friday, Oct. 4, Vice President of Technical Operations at CBTS Dave Burns, and UC CECH Dean Lawrence J. Johnson established a relationship to contribute to the ever-changing world of Information Technology, effective immediately.

"This agreement exemplifies UC's goals of building key partnerships to support the broader community and to provide our students and our faculty with twenty-first century learning experiences," said Johnson.

The partnership will give students expanded access to CBTS laboratories, innovative technologies and executive IT professionals. CBTS employees and faculty at the University of Cincinnati will collaborate to develop improved curriculums based on trending topics in the IT industry.

Equally, the relationship will give CBTS employees valuable exposure to the university's classrooms, providing expanded opportunities to interact with students and contribute to building a strong future talent base.

"At CBTS, we understand that having hands-on experience directly correlates to a successful education in the information technology field," said John Burns, president and general manager of CBTS. "We hope this partnership will continue to expand over time to connect the different disciplines in the college with other community projects CBTS is involved in."
