Program will help local veteran families; applications being accepted
CINCINNATI, Ohio – Cincinnati Bell, the region's leading provider of telecommunications services, today announced its support of Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity's new pilot program aimed at helping military veterans complete critical home repair projects. The new Critical Home Repair program is an extension of Habitat for Humanity's traditional build and rehab programs and will help struggling families, specifically veteran families, maintain and stay in their homes.
"We're excited to help Cincinnati Habitat launch its Critical Home Repair program and very proud to help provide assistance to men and women who have served our country in the U.S. Armed Forces," says Jack Cassidy, president and chief executive officer of Cincinnati Bell.
Cincinnati Bell is donating $40,000 to help four families receive assistance through the Critical Home Repairs program. Examples of repairs include work that is necessary to alleviate code violations, safety concerns or health issues. Improvements or repairs such as wheelchair ramps, roof or HVAC system replacements would qualify. Similar to its other programs, Habitat is providing "a hand up, not a hand out."

"Cincinnati Bell continues to be an outstanding community partner and we are looking forward to bringing this much-needed repair program to families who sacrifice for each of us everyday."
Applications for assistance are currently being accepted by Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity. Qualified candidates must meet criteria that are based on the applicant's need, willingness to partner and ability to repay an interest-free loan for the services rendered.
